GOALS of the LESSONS:
- Learning safe, kind, and correct riding techniques, with an emphasis on maintaining a peaceful and consistent line of authority
- To reinforce safe and appropriate ground manners while dealing with horses as you are unmounted
- Learning basic skills in grooming and "tacking."

COST – $30 for a 45–minute GROUP lesson…including both mounted and unmounted exercises.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE – You can be of any age or ability level. The Abelts will modify their lesson plans to suit participants' needs. "Sidewalkers" will be available as needed for beginners.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT/ATTIRE/PREPARATION (for SAFETY'S sake) INCLUDES:
- Closed-toed, sturdy footwear…with a heel
- Well-fitted helmet (the Abelts will have a few helmets available as loaners)
- Long pants
- Hair pulled back
- No dangling clothes or accessories that could get caught up in the horse's "tack"
