I love this book! I read it every other day. The other day, I read Gwen's other devotional The True Vine! They point my heart up to God and the truth of the scriptures quoted and the wisdom shared have truly changed my life. They are short and can be read often. It is amazing to me that they fit perfectly in what I need to hear that day! A true Blessing from God!

This book is my favorite way to start the day! I love getting to wake up in the morning and get completely focused on God by reading the day's devotional. Each short devotional is so convicting and moves me to change. It opens my eyes to how I can love God better and shows me daily what it truly means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ! It has such practical ways on how to lay down any stronghold and love God with your whole heart. I love these daily devotionals! If you are looking for a way to get focused on God and His will every day, this is the book for you!

The Exodus Devotional has helped my family and I develop a deeper relationship with God. My daughter and I read it every morning to gain more understanding of God, His Word, His Spirit and His love for us. We are learning daily to go to God to seek His wishes for our day, to eat within His bounds and to live a life of obedience. Gwen Shamblin writes, "The more you learn about the mind of God and experience His plan for your life, the more you can live like a child--full of happiness and peace with excited anticipation about the mystery of each coming day instead of living each day in worry and fear!" The moment God brought this devo to me over five years ago, it continues to keep me on my toes. The reinforcement of laying down food & self continually sharpens my focus and can get me back on point quickly. Each devo is short & direct which often is all the time I have during the day. Even gives you an extra day in between to absorb it. It has saved my life on several occasions. I keep it close by at all times.
